From A To Zig-Zag: Renée Ting

From A to Zig-Zag is a new podcast featuring creative practices in Southeast Asia. Hosted by Nadya Wang, the podcast invites guests to share about the pathways of their illustrious careers, from the foundations to the decisions and happenstance that have shaped them. The first episode of Season 1 features Renée Ting, the Founding Director of Singapore Art Book Fair. The fair is taking place at Singapore Art Museum at Tanjong Pagar Distripark from 29 April to 1 May daily from 12pm to 8pm. Art & Market is proud to be the official media partner of Singapore Art Book Fair.

Undescribed #7: Online Artist Talk

An annual platform committed to support emerging artists based in Singapore, the 7th edition of Undescribed features five young artists on the open ground of DECK. The online artist talk with Hong Shu-Ying, Jomel, Rachel Cheng, Ryan Lim Zi Yi and Sarah Lin was moderated by the programme mentor and visual artist Robert Zhao. Apart from sharing the inspirations and process of each work, the dialogue discusses the challenges and opportunities of expanding the photographic medium into outdoor public sculptures.

Han Sai Por: The Forest and Its Soul

As part of the second residency and solo exhibition of Singaporean artist Han Sai Por, STPI presents two hybrid programmes exploring the forest as emotional landscapes. In ‘A Forest Comes into Being: In Dialogue with Han Sai Por and Kwok Kian Chow’, the duo will discuss the artist’s practice and her explorations at STPI. In ‘The Word for World is Forest: Surveying Nature in Language’, Alfian Sa’at, Kevin Martens Wong and Jacqui Hocking will examine the interconnected relationship between language and nature. Both talks will take place physically at STPI Gallery and digitally as a Zoom Webinar.

#ArtInTheParkPH ONLINE 2022

The 16th edition of Art in the Park launches a series of online exhibits from 24 April to 1 May, presenting over 61 galleries, art schools, independent art spaces, art collectives, as well as a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace. The affordable art fair in the Philippines connects physical and digital art through a partnership with Globe Platinum, which involves 100 works from the second part of an ongoing project ‘Monster Mayhem Mega Mash’ by Philippine street artist Distort Monsters.
